MHG Supports Taiwanese Medical Experts’ U.S. Health Lecture Tour

Health should never be limited by geography or language. By bringing Taiwan’s top medical expertise directly into our communities, we are empowering families with knowledge, prevention, and trusted guidance. This kind of cross-border collaboration is exactly how meaningful, long-term community impact is created

— Kitty Lo, Founder of MHG Charitable Foundation

January 16, 2026 — Rosemead, California — The MHG Charitable Foundation proudly participated in and supported a Southern California health education initiative led by a distinguished medical delegation from Taichung Veterans General Hospital (TVGH, 臺中榮民總醫院), one of Taiwan’s leading medical institutions. The initiative aims to expand preventive health education, strengthen cross-border medical exchange, and improve community access to trusted medical knowledge.

The official press conference was held in Rosemead at the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles, bringing together healthcare professionals, nonprofit leaders, and community partners from across Southern California. TECO-LA Cultural Office Director: Jane P. C. Chung also participated in this press conference.

Representing the MHG Charitable Foundation, Founder Kitty Lo and Director George Chou attended the press conference and joined community leaders in welcoming the visiting medical team. Their participation underscored MHG’s long-standing commitment to advancing community health education and international collaboration.

Strengthening Community Health Through Collaboration

The visiting TVGH delegation shared insights on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and international medical coordination, emphasizing practical, culturally informed guidance for overseas communities. The initiative reflects a shared belief that health education, when delivered directly and accessibly, can empower families to make informed, proactive decisions.

Orange County Session Supported by Community Partners

In addition to the Los Angeles program, an Orange County health seminar will take place later the same day. The Orange County session hotel conference venue was generously donated by Kitty Lo, enabling broader community participation and ensuring accessibility for families across the region.

The Orange County program is co-hosted by 國際佛光會新港分會 (BLIA Newport Branch), with friendly community support from 華興保險(KCAL), reflecting the strong collaborative spirit among nonprofit, civic, and private-sector partners.
