Lihui (Kitty) Lo

Founder & Philanthropist


Ms. Lo is the founder of MHG Charitable Foundation, a philanthropic initiative dedicated to supporting underprivileged youth in the USA, Taiwan, and India. With a deep-rooted commitment to giving back, she has devoted years of contributions and donations through religious organizations and her foundations, striving to uplift and empower those in need. Her passion for philanthropy extends beyond financial assistance—she is actively involved in initiatives that provide education, mentorship, and essential resources to underserved communities.

Believing that small actions can create profound change, Ms. Lo focuses on expanding the foundation’s impact, ensuring that every initiative leads to meaningful and lasting improvements in the lives of disadvantaged youth. Her vision is to bridge gaps, create opportunities, and inspire others to join in making a difference.

In addition to her philanthropic work, Ms. Lo serves as the Chairman of Manhattan Hotel Group, leveraging her three decades of business leadership to drive strategic investments and operational excellence. Throughout her distinguished career, she has founded multiple businesses and successfully guided many to public listings. Prior to her entrepreneurial endeavors, she was a prominent asset manager, overseeing over $1 billion in managed assets.

Ms. Lo holds a Certificate in GMP from Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration and an MBA from Colorado Christian University. Her dedication to knowledge-sharing led her to teach investment, hedge funds, and arbitrage at Jinwen University of Science and Technology, further reinforcing her commitment to education and empowerment.

Through both business and philanthropy, Ms. Lo continues to champion positive change, foster opportunities, and inspire future generations.


Wen-Hwa Lee, Ph.D.

Principal Advisor


Dr. Wen-Hwa Lee, Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from UC Berkeley, is a distinguished scientist and academic leader, renowned for his groundbreaking contributions in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cancer research.

A pioneer in oncogene and tumor suppressor gene research, Dr. Lee discovered the first human retinoblastoma tumor suppressor gene (RB gene), making a groundbreaking contribution to cancer genetics and molecular medicine. His work has profoundly enhanced our understanding of cancer development and therapeutic strategies. His achievements have earned him international recognition, including his election as Academician of Academia Sinica, Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) in the USA, and Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). Dr. Lee previously held leadership roles as President of China Medical University (Taiwan) and Professor at the University of California, Irvine and two other distinguished Universities. Dr. Lee also serves as Chairman of the Photosynthetic Education Foundation (Taiwan).

As the Principal Advisor of MHG Charitable Foundation, Dr. Lee brings his extensive expertise in scientific research, education, and philanthropy to support the foundation’s mission of empowering underserved youth through education and support programs. His dedication to fostering the next generation of scholars and leaders aligns with the foundation’s vision to uplift lives through knowledge, mentorship, and opportunities. With decades of academic and research leadership, Dr. Lee’s guidance will help shape impactful programs that drive positive change in communities worldwide.


Eva Yu-Hua Pan Lee, Ph.D.

Advisor


Dr. Eva Yu-Hua Pan Lee, Ph.D., is a renowned Taiwanese molecular biologist with a distinguished career in cancer biology and genetics. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from National Taiwan Normal University, followed by a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1984.

Dr. Lee has held prominent academic positions, including Chancellor Professor at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), where she contributed extensively to cancer research and tumor suppressor genes. She played a key role in advancing cancer genetics and was instrumental in developing innovative cancer models. As a founding scientist and chairwoman of GeneTex, Dr. Lee helped lead the company’s research in molecular biology. Her outstanding contributions to science earned her a prestigious election to Academia Sinica in 2002 (Taiwan). Over the years, she has received numerous honors, including the Society of Chinese Bioscientists in America Presidential Outstanding Scientist Award and the Athalie Clarke Award from UCI.

Now retired with emeritus status from UC Irvine, Dr. Lee remains an influential figure in the field and serves as an advisor to the MHG Charitable Foundation, bringing her expertise to support the foundation’s mission of empowering underserved youth through education and access to resources.


Chao Tarng Cheng, MD, FACC

Director


Dr. Chao-Tarng Cheng, MD, FACC, is a seasoned physician and the Vice Chairman of Manhattan Hotel Group, bringing a unique perspective to the team with his diverse background in both medicine and investments. As the founder of Medicor Cardiology, established in 1977, Dr. Cheng has been practicing cardiology for nearly five decades, earning recognition as Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Assistant Professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ.

In addition to his medical career, Dr. Cheng has an impressive track record in real estate and hospital investments, blending his analytical skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. He has contributed to the growth and success of his practice and has expanded his investment ventures strategically, demonstrating a balanced approach to business. Dr. Cheng’s commitment to lifelong learning and giving back to the community is evident in his contributions to medical education, having been awarded “Teacher of the Year” twice at Somerset Medical Center.

Dr. Cheng’s leadership at MHG Charitable Organization reflects his dedication to making a positive impact on society. His medical background and experience in managing both healthcare and business ventures allow him to bring a thoughtful, comprehensive approach to the organization’s mission of creating opportunities and improving lives, particularly through education and community development.


George Chou

Director


George Chou is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in technology, finance/investment, and high-tech industries. Currently, he serves as the CEO of a nonprofit organization dedicated to care to the community, and as a director for MHG Charitable Organization, where he brings a wealth of knowledge from his work in cloud architecture, AI, and investment strategies.

George holds a Master of Computer Science and an MBA, with a strong entrepreneurial background as the founder of two startup companies. With a proven track record in building successful technology platforms, he has led ventures in areas such as multi-cloud and industrial IoT. Additionally, George has held executive leadership roles at major organizations like WITS America, where he managed sourcing and technology development across the USA, Taiwan, India and China, overseeing large-scale projects that modernized legacy systems.

George’s extensive career, particularly in high-tech and investment sectors, shapes his approach at MHG Charitable Organization. His leadership and strategic vision are critical in supporting the organization’s mission to provide opportunities for youth, while also addressing broader social challenges. With a focus on collaboration and innovative solutions, George is committed to driving positive change in the community.
